The South West squad competed in the EKA Interarea championship on Saturday 12th April. Despite a valiant effort from all involved they remained winless, but there are many positives to take from a day of some excellent team performances. Report here (updated 14/04/08).
The third SWKA tournament was a successful event with 6 teams playing from within and without the area. Despite an impressive display by Taunton, they were pipped to the title (and the bottles of wine) by Bristol City. Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves and took something from the day. Results and report here (updated 31/03/08).

SWKA are putting together a range of clothing that anyone within the SW clubs can purchase. Initially, we are looking at polos and hoodies. However, this does mean that we need to have a view on ....colour! Our beautiful models (as seen below!), were allowed out on day-release specifically for this task! Please email either or with your favourite colour. You have a choice of what looks like: Royal Blue, Sky Blue, non-Bottle Green and Grey (updated 26/02/08).
SWKA Squad page added to the website (updated 26/02/08).
Date change to the next SWKA Tournament. The event is moving from the Sunday to the Saturday during the last weekend in March in Bristol. The last one in Exeter was disappointing in terms of attendance but those who didn't make it, missed a fabulous afternoon. Get the date in your diaries now (updated 26/02/02008).
Summer Tournaments are coming in thick and fast! Well, Gloucester, Bristol City and the County Championships. Check out the Events Calendar from May onwards for details and to submit initial interest. Gloucester need entries asap before going ....public! (updated 21/02/08).
Results are in from the weekend (except Taunton vs Bristol Uni). Exeter have managed to score WELL over their century and their goal difference is something quite ludicrous (how do they do it?!). It's not quite all over yet ....but you could have a good guess! (updated 18/02/08).
The SWKA Squad for Inter-Area Tournament in April has been announced. Obviously, it's highly top secret so you're not allowed to tell anyone but you are allowed to congratulate people. Shhhhhh (updated 18/02/08).
Any wannabe Coaches out there? The BKA (that'll be the British Korfball Association to you and me) run a summer camp ...during the summer. Further details can be found on the EKA website (that's the English Korfball Association). Oh yes, it's all mightily confusing! (updated 18/02/08).
Any photos from the recent Ski Trip??? Email (not in mega format!) to info@swka,org and we'll endeavour to get them on the website (updated 14/02/08).
